Why did you choose Cornell?
Cornell University is a world-known college where you can find the most comprehensive and deep learning experience in any subject.
Why did you choose to major in MSE MEng at Cornell?
The MSE M.Eng degree at Cornell gives me the opportunity to expose myself to the semiconductor industries and I want to learn this topic not only from the courses but also from the hands-on projects and internships.
Description of your project topic/lab(s):
Investigation on the influence of sintering conditions (e.g. thermal cycling and atmosphere) on Ag joint part's microstructure using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
What has been your favorite class or experience at Cornell MSE MEng and why?
My favorite class was Electronic Materials for the Information Age, which is a very informative course teaching the basics about semiconductor processing and device performance.
Do you have any advice for students considering MSE MEng?
Be prepared. MSE is one of the toughest subjects in Engineering and the ability to withstand the pressure from the tight schedule is essential.
While at Cornell/MSE, what did you do for fun?
Sharing my experience here with my family, friends and reading novels.
Favorite Cornell/MSE memory?
My favorite Cornell memory was solving problems in the classroom, where all of the talented students study together and participate in lectures actively.
What's the next step for you?
I am going to finish my degree and find an internship/full-time job in semiconductor industries.
